Women in Leadership endorses Judie Mancuso for Laguna Beach City Council

WIL is pleased to endorse Judie Mancuso for Laguna Beach City Council.

Judie is well known as a fearless advocate for people, animals and the planet.

The nonprofit she founded in 2007 and still runs today is behind a series of landmark California laws, including one that banned the sale of cosmetics tested on animals, one that banned the use of wild animals in circuses, and one that banned sales of puppy mill dogs in pet shops.

Oh, and if you like being able to eat on a restaurant patio with your dog, you can thank Judie for that too!

Judie had a successful twenty-year career in information technology before becoming a full-time legislative advocate. Her resumé since includes two terms on the California Veterinary Medical Board.

Now, after serving for five years on the Laguna Beach Environmental Sustainability Committee, of which she is currently acting chair, Judie is ready to bring her decades of experience in business and leadership to the City Council.

Her main areas of focus will be quality of life issues including traffic congestion and affordability/livability; environmental protections and climate resiliency; and maximizing accountability and transparency in city government.

We encourage you to read more about Judie and her campaign on her campaign site then join us in supporting her.

Fun fact: Judie’s sister owned three dance studios, so she grew up dancing and even helped her sister teach the little ones ballet and tap.
